27th Sept dh race rd5 - date confirmed

We're aware that our final round (Rd5) of our DH series clashes with a NPS DH race, we where toying with the idea of changing the date - however after some debate we've decided to run the date as planned. So 27th Sept will be the final round - sorry if some of you guys will miss out but when organising races is almost impossible to not clash with anything else!!

The race track will be a BRAND NEW one called Tsubo initial top/bottom times around 1min 45secs - this will open for riding on the next uplift 30th August - sketchy!!!! £100 to the fastest rider + £20 for each category winner. Look forward to seeing you all there - and if you can't make it there'll be the winter series to contend with.........

UPLIFT 30th august

The nights are drawing in and we're getting close to end of our events for the 2009 season - we have a special uplift this weekend, we're giving you an extra hour of uplifting for free (the uplift will stop at 5.30pm rather than 4.30pm) plus there'll be a BRAND NEW track to ride called 'Tsubo' - this will be the race track for the final round of our winter series DH on 27th Sept. Also.............. IT'S WAYNE'S BIRTHDAY - SO DON'T TELL ANYONE!!!!!!

Refreshments hot/cold will be available all day including the amazing 'mum's cake' Sign in from 9am, uplifting starts at 10am, 1-2pm lunch then finish at [b]5.30pm[/b]. Car parking in the field next to the cafe and uplift drop off.

Member uplift £20 - non member uplift £25 - If you are a non member the price includes you day pass. Online booking is the only way to prepay/book - pre booking highly recommended as often the uplifts are booked out (we don't like turning people away!)

Blimey!! It's not even the summer hols yet and we've nearly completed the DH race series!!! So this will be last chance to race before the summer exodus to the Alps (Rd 5 is in late Sept) It's been great (so far) to have all this years events in the dry - looking at long range forecast on met check we could be Ok for the race. The other big news of Rd4 is it also incorporates the UK unofficial hardtail champs run by ACE Ventura Woody/hardtail nation - all you need to do is enter the hardtail catagory and your in it!!! This is Ian Woodies baby and has been drumming up some fun prizes and we might get a visit from some mags (but don't hold me to that!) so come along and support it - bet you can't beat the full sus riders......??!!

All rounds this year have been very busy (which is fantastic for the racing!!) so if your thinking of entering do it sooner rather than later because all of our events have a max number of entrants (mainly due to the uplift capacity) so get yourself booked up to secure a place. We'll be using another totally new track from the last race (see below) and have all the usual UKBP facilities onsite including MUM's cake......reason enough to come!!

Sat uplift: £20 member - £25 non member

10am till 4.30pm - stops for lunch 1-2pm. Please remember that Saturday is NOT race practice day - it's just another normal uplift day where you get to ride the whole park including the race run if it's not closed (for the obvious safety reasons such as marking out). Sunday morning is the official practice time for the race - see below...........
