See you all Sunday
This weekend saw the second of the ukbikepark/torico winter races with £100 up for grabs, cash prizes for each category and BC points also enticing a few more names out of the woodwork. We saw a great weekend of racing with a large French contingent making it over to race and endure the rigours of a British winter race. For this race it was push up only ( uplift is being rested for the winter as more upgrades are being made to the uplift track and vehicles) however there was plenty of cake on offer and no one seemed to moan about the lack of uplift ( maybe the entry fee of £18 made it all the sweeter?)
The racing was top notch with Will Soffe, Ashley Mullane, Liam Mason, Ben Baker and Lee Huskinson all in contention for the £100. Special mention must go to 6th placed rider Ludovic Oget, he was mixing it up with a few elite and expert class British riders and was flying all weekend. I'm sure we will see his name pop up again in bigger races in the future. In the main event Lee Huskinson managed to keep his gob shut for a few minutes (love yer work Lee!) and put 3 seconds into second place torico/ukbikepark rider Will Soffe who managed to pip Ashley Mullane who is back from long term injury.
