The summer Downhill series is back again this year and already its promising to be a belter! The big news for 2008 is that global sports clothing and equipment giant 661 are going to sponsor the whole series!! (This means better prizes for you!!) Still working this year with the Parks LBS Torico weve doubled the size of the series with three extra dates added! We have also purchased our very own timing system for the park, we may be doing some trials on Uplift days so look out and you may get some timed runs in. As for the actual race tracks, we are aiming to bring you a different track for each race! But we cant tell you which on which date its going be yet, because we dont know ourselves yet . So your best preparation is ride the whole park! Also new for this year are some additions to the already famous UKBikePark Uplift fleet. Our single run capacity will be boosted to just shy of one hundred riders.and bikes!!! (And thats all with cycle specific trails too!) But that doesnt mean we wont hit capacity, all the more reason to get signed up early with the easy new online booking system. This year (like last) therell be series rankings and special prizes for series 1st-3rd, that means with six races its not about the being the fastest but being consistent! 4x Course building Update - go ride it!!

The redeveloped 4X course is now nearly ready for racing! After a big build weekend from many hotdog hungry helpers the course has been shaped into a truly awsome mountain bike 4X track. Expect to find a whole host of interesting features to test your riding including mutilple table tops, step up & downs, doubles, quads, drops, mogals and more! Our race series sponsored by Torico Bikes was due to start in two weeks but has been put back as the massive start platform has been delayed due a problem with material delivery. We're hoping to have everything complete by the end of May. Watch this space. 28/04/08

Single Run Uplift now available at the weekends

From this weekend we're offering single run uplifts at the park. The service will available subject to other events at the park but should be running most Saturday's & Sundays. There will be a maximum of only three runs per day and at certain times. Tickets will only be available on the day and will cost £3 per uplift. Pick up times will be 12pm, 2pm & 4pm. The truck will wait for limited time of 5 Min's after the above times then move off. Hopefully this will encourage riders to session the bottom sections more (there's loads of new features down there - road gaps, tables dirt jumps etc) and stop even the fittest of XC'ers bursting there lungs pedaling back up to the top!! Takun on I say.............................. :-)

Uk Bike Park are pleased to announce the launch of the Dakine Ladder Alley on the 22nd June. We would love you to join us for a action packed days riding and relaxing in Dorset. The generous people from Dakine have paid for a FREE uplift service open to everyone. This will be running all day so if you want to attend the most chilled and relaxed riding day that you are going to have this summer, then please register your details. We will be offering the now legendary Uk Bike Park food service and Torico will be there with all your biking needs and of course Dakine will be there with all their 2008 product range.
